Performance Management Framework - Video

The Problem:

MUFG was preparing to communicate a new performance management framework to employees. The goal was to explain what and how work should be accomplished, highlight evaluation and measurement, and create excitement and understanding around the new approach. Traditional training wasn’t required and the challenge was creating a clear, engaging communication piece that could reach a wide audience and convey executive sponsorship.

My Role:

I designed and produced a video overview of the new framework. I collaborated with business stakeholders to ensure messaging was accurate and aligned with organizational priorities. I translated the framework’s key elements into a clear, visually engaging story that would be understandable and appealing to employees, similar to a marketing campaign.

My Thinking:

I focused on clarity, structure, and engagement:

  • Framed the video around what employees need to know and how it impacts them.

  • Incorporated messaging to reinforce credibility and organizational alignment.

  • Used visuals to simplify complex concepts and ensure the video could be easily digested without additional training.

The Outcome:

The video was successfully produced and served as a key communication tool for the rollout of the new performance management framework. Feedback indicated that employees found the overview clear, professional, and engaging, helping them understand the new expectations and framework objectives. The project demonstrates my ability to turn complex organizational initiatives into effective, polished communications.
